The French guy, Frederique, I was lumped with was a miserable git and we pretty much hated each other. But he was passionate about his music and I had his bedroom. I spied the 12" of A Question of Time in his collection and gave it a spin. I was instantly transformed into a DM mega fan. So I suppose I have to thank Frederique for something.John Cassidynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2479382718529718406.post-61529501645475514392021-03-06T17:51:17.792+00:002021-03-06T17:51:17.792+00:00Congratulations on your blog and on this series! I like the way Anton somehow inserted the “making of” into the videos around this time (the baby pulling Martin’s hair in Question of time or the old lady laughing at shooting in Jardin des Tuileries at the end of this one) And of course Paris is my city…
Trivia: the first girl (with the white underwear) is A model called “Bambou” and she is kind of famous here in France for being Serge Gainsbourg’s last wife (Don’t know if you know who Serge Gainsbourg is, he is a French singer from the 70s and 80s)
Can’t wait for the next review!
Sophie
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2479382718529718406.post-54526765187625608532021-02-19T20:31:03.958+00:002021-02-19T20:31:03.958+00:00Thanks very much! But the cover is another masterpiece from Martyn Atkins. One can't described more perfectly the lyrics and the idea of a shattered innocence.
RendalRendalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09835565006644495114noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2479382718529718406.post-76595840788299967702021-02-19T20:16:31.974+00:002021-02-19T20:16:31.974+00:001)As far as I can remember, "Stripped" a...1)As far as I can remember, "Stripped" and "...lust" didnt done well in France. But "...Time" was a success here and the video was played a lot on french TV. From that point, every singles until "Walking In My Shoes" will be hits in France.
RendalRendalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09835565006644495114noreply@blogger.com
